Fallen from Heaven

The sky is dark with shades of red, a color that is bright but would remind you of blood and death. Cloud is white and so thick but behind it you will see figures of angels at war. The sound of swords and yell of dying angels are so frightening. That is a war in heaven that banished the angels who fell in love with man and was sent down to earth.

Chapter 1

Fallen

I can feel the strong wind on my face and tasted the smell of burning wings, so I opened my eyes. I am holding someone’s hand and I tried to look at her but I didn’t get a chance. Like a meteor we both burn and burst into flame as we descended from heaven. That is the moment when I lose her hands and fall down too fast, made me unconscious but I know I hit the ground.

Sid: (Quickly sit up on his bed and opened his eyes and look around) Weird! Is it a nightmare or is it a dream. (He asked himself)

Sherwin: Hey cousin, what happened? Are you okay?

Sid: I had a dream and it’s seems so real. My wings are burning and I am falling and guess I landed here on my bed (Smiling)

Sherwin: You an angel?

Sid: Yes! But fallen angel (laugh)

Sherwin: You an angel ha? (Laughing)

Sid: Why not? Look at my angelic face! (Laughing)

Sherwin: (Laughing loud). You mean angelic face after impact.

Sid threw a pillow straight to his cousin face.

Sid: What time is it?

Sherwin: Why? It is eight o’clock and it is Saturday.

Sid: Good! I thought I am late already. Need to prepare now cousin.

Sherwin: Where are you going?

Sid: University Belt, Centro Escolar University to be precise. Want to go with me?

Sherwin: No! I need to go to Saint Paul and meet Elaine there.

Sid: I see! Need to take a bath now. Just let me know if you change your mind okay? There are so many pretty girls at Honeylet’s dormitory. (Smiling)

Sherwin: (Laughing). Don’t worry Saint Paul is more than enough that my eyes can handle.

Sid: Then see you later this evening.

Sid went down stairs and took a shower. Sherwin went down and leave. This is their teenage life, happy go lucky and worry is not a part of their daily activities.

Chapter Two

Living as Mortal

I woke up naked and my body is in pain. From the rubble and garbage I stand up and was surprised that I am in the middle of the city. I can’t remember anything. I look up and saw some falling star. It reminds me of something but gives me headache as well. I am in that state of confusion when the policemen arrived.

Sid: Wait! Wait! No! (He screamed)

Sherwin: Hey! Wake up! You are dreaming again!

Sid woke up but looks confused and afraid. He felt the dream was real and still thinks that he is still in it. He can still feel the pain and can still even smell the garbage in his dream.

Sid: Where am I?

Sherwin: On your bed, where else? (Smiling)

Sid: It’s that dream again. How come it is haunting me?

Sherwin: Don’t tell me you are an angel again, huh!

Sid: (Smiling) Why? Do I look like the devil?

Sherwin: The way you change girlfriend makes me think you are possessed by the devil. (Laughing)

Sid: (Laughed) I am hurting no one. I just can’t feel the satisfaction and contentment as if I am looking for someone.

Sherwin: Someone with what vital statistic? (Still laughing)

Sid: It’s not that. You have seen my girlfriend right? Most of them are really nice and beautiful but something is still missing.

Sherwin: And what is missing? You have reached my girlfriends quota for my entire life and still haven’t found what you are looking for? (Smiling)

Sid: I don’t know! Maybe the dream has something to do with it.

Sherwin: So you want to find the other angel you are telling me?

Sid: Maybe but I don’t know how? Can you help me?

Sherwin burst into laughs. He just can’t believe that Sid is really serious about the angel stuffs.

Sherwin: I guess I didn’t wake you up at all. Are you still sleeping cousin? (Laughing)

Sid: (Now laughing) Can you shake me harder?

Sherwin: Wait! I will get a hammer! (Laughing)

Sid: One day I will show you my wings (Smiling)

Sid pretended that he no longer thinks about the dream, about him being a fallen angel and about the other angel that he is holding. In his heart and mind he can feel the urges of finding the answer for all his questions. He wants to find out who the other angel is and what connects the two of them.

Chapter Three

The Place to Start

One of the policemen gave me a blanket to cover myself then escorted me straight into the car patrol. Still confused and afraid, I didn’t resist anymore. I know I need help for the meantime.

“What are you doing naked in that file of trash?” the policeman asked.

“I don’t know, I can’t remember anything, only that I am falling and woke up in that garbage files.”

“What do you mean you can’t remember anything? Did someone rob you? Knocked you off hitting your head with something hard?” the policeman asked again.

“I’m sorry. I just can’t really remember what happened.” I now realized that I am dreaming again. This is the perfect time for me to find out what is going on. I just hope nobody wakes me up.

“Officer, can you tell me where we are heading. What is the date today, the year?”

“What? Don’t tell me you’re not from here?” the policeman replied.

“I don’t remember anything not even my name so please tell me where am I and the date today.”

“It’s the fourth day of July 1972 and we are here in Quezon City.” the other policeman replied.

“Thank you officer, I hope it ring a bell to help me remember anything.”

“I guess we need to detain you for the meantime for verification and also to help you remember anything.” the policeman said.

The patrol car stopped in their headquarters. They escorted me to one of their cells and locked me up. I know I am dreaming but I don’t want to wake up. I want to find out what is going on. One of the policemen returned and gave me something to wear, a pillow and a blanket.

“It’s very late now. Better take a good rest, it might help you remember anything.” the policeman said.

Then he switched off the light so all the other prisoners can sleep. I laid down my tired body but I don’t want to sleep. I want to find out why this dream is haunting me. Thinking while staring straight up on the ceiling, I noticed something shiny. I tried to figure out what is that thing but to my surprised it was the eye of the dragon, the bringer of light.

“Where is Enelra Naszech?” the dragon uttered.

“Who is Enelra? I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“I will ask you again for the last time Naszech, where is Enelra?” the dragon asked again.

“I really don’t know! I can’t remember anything.”

“Then burn in hell.” the dragon yelled.

From the dragon’s mouth I saw a ball of fire coming straight towards me. I can feel the heat burning my skin and my soul. Then the grounds open up and the fire from hell come’s up rushing. Then burning souls underneath tried to pull me down. It was really frightening so I just closed my eyes and let my body fall.

Chapter Four

Dreams beyond Dreams

I yelled and was awakened by the policeman who rushed to see what is going on. It was a bad dream I told myself but then I realized I am still dreaming. I am still in the cell where they locked me up. Now I am more confused.

“Hey! Next time you yell again like that, I will lock you up somewhere else, okay?” the policeman said.

“I am sorry officer, I had a bad dream.”

“Now go back to sleep.” he said.

I lay down again but I don’t want to close my eyes this time. I don’t know “what is the meaning of the dragon attacking me”. He even called me Naszech. Is that my real name? Who is Enelra? I asked myself. If that nightmare is connected to this dream I am dreaming right now, I guess Enelra is holding something that the bringer of light is looking for. But where can I find her? Where will I start? I am in that state of confusion when someone from the other cell beside me called Naszech’s name.

“Naszech is that you?” he asked.

“No. My name is Sid” I replied.

“Wake up! Even your voice can’t deny it. You are Naszech.” he uttered.

“I really can’t remember anything but if you can help me, please enlighten my mind.”

“I am Gabriel, the messenger of God and I am here to save you from the bringer of light.” he said.

“Then tell me what to do. Tell me who am I?” I exclaimed.

“You are the keeper of hope and Enelra is the hope itself. Both of you fell during the great war of heaven.” he said.

“Then tell me Gabriel what do I need to do?” I asked.

“You must find the hope and prove to mankind that no matter what trials you will suffer, there will always be hope. That way, your soul will be spared from damnation.” he explained.

“But where can I find her?” I asked again.

“Each angel who descended from middle heaven had a few human months difference when they reached the earth. Enelra reached the earth seven months before you did. It was the thirteenth day of the first month of the year. You can start from there. Now have a good sleep.” Gabriel explained.

I asked him few more questions but I got no reply. So I decided to take a nap too. The sun is almost high now when I woke up. I quickly stand up and check the cell besides me to see if Gabriel is already awake but to my surprised, no one is in that cell so I called the policeman on duty that morning.

“Officer, where is the prisoner in this cell beside me?” I asked.

“No one is in the cell for a couple of week now.” he replied.

Now I am more confused. Is that another dream? Did I really wake up after the dragon nightmare? Knowing that I am dreaming in my dreams and waking up still in my dream makes me worry. Am I still dreaming or “me” being Sid is just a dream and I am already awake now with nothing to remember who I am? I need to wake up now.

Chapter Five

Reality Bites

I am still in my deep sleep and still looking for answers in my dream why it haunts me when somebody pulled my feet.

Sherwin: Rise and shine cousin, someone is downstairs looking for you.

Sid: Who it is and what time is it now?

Sherwin: It is seven in the morning and the one who is looking for you is the one who brought you flowers. (Laughing)

Sid: Oh my! It is still early and you wake me just for her?

Sherwin: Sorry about that but I am just being kind and besides she gave me a nice breakfast. (Smiling)

I had a continuous and long dream that gives me clue about the dream that haunts me and I was awakened for someone that I don’t want to see. I wished that I am just dreaming now and I want to wake up to escape this crazy world.

Sid: Sherwin, can you tell her that I am sick? I have lots of things to do and to remember. I need to go to the library and make research.

Sherwin: Why, do you want her to take good care of you? (Smiling) If I will tell her that you are sick, she might insist to go upstairs and take good care of you. She is persistent.

Sid: Aw! I guess I need to get rid of her real soon. I just don’t know how to that.

Sherwin: Why don’t you try to lose her in the mall? (Laughing)

Sid: That’s not me but I think that is a good idea. That’s the only way I can lose her in this reality. (Laughing)

Sherwin: You are one bad angel Sid.

Sid: Speaking of bad angel, what do you know about The War in Heaven?

Sherwin: Not much but I can recall the name of Michael or Mikael, Gabriel and Lucifer the light bringer. Let me refresh my mind and will give you details on things I know but for the meantime you need to face your war downstairs. (He laughs again)

Sid: Ever heard of Naszech or Enelra being part of that war?

Sherwin: Nope! Let us discuss that later cousin, she is waiting.

Sid: Damn! Okay… Okay… Tell her I will be there in a few minutes. I will just take a shower.

Sherwin: Okay Romeo, don’t keep Juliet waiting. (He laughs again)

Sherwin went down and entertained my unwanted visitor. Unwanted cause I hate it when I girl like her visits a man like me instead of me visiting her. Well, I can do nothing about it right now, it is the modern world and it is the reality and reality bites.

Chapter Six

War in Heaven

After a quick shower I dressed up to go downstairs and hope to lose her in the mall. I just can’t take my mind off the things I dreamed of. I want to know the truth about this dream that haunts me. The internet can give me lots of information but I believed that there are things that are not in web and was kept secret and I know the National Library will do the trick.

Sherwin: Hey Sid! Are you done and ready?

Sid: One more minute and I will be down there.

I was about to go down stairs when I noticed a shadow of a person with wings. I looked behind to the source of the light to see the real figure of the shadow but there is no one there. Am I imagining things now or it is my dream becoming a part of my reality? Maybe my mind is pre-occupied of the characters in my dream reason I am seeing or imagining things. I looked back once more then went downstairs.

Sid: Sorry to keep you waiting but I am not expecting you being here so early so I am not ready when you came.

Claire: It’s okay. I understand and beside that Sherwin kept me entertained.

Sid: So what’s up?

Claire: Nothing. I just want to see you. Why, are you going to do anything today?

Sid: Not much! How would you like to go to the mall?

Claire: I would love to. Let’s go then and watch movie.

Sid: Hey cousin! Why don’t you get dressed up and join us. Let’s have brunch in the mall.

Sherwin: I am dressed up but I am full already. Claire brought a cake and I almost ate it all.

Sid: Okay! I thought you love pizza too, the thin crispy Shakey’s Pizza with lots of toppings and mozzarella.

The magic words and I heard rumbling footsteps going downstairs.

Sherwin: Shall we go now?

Claire: That’s great! Good thing I brought my car, we can go to the best pizza restaurant in the city. Let’s go then.

In just a matter of minute, we are already on our way to the mall. I am already thinking of the best exit I can do to ditch her off. I am not that bad but I really hate a woman courting a man. I am too excited to go to the library only I noticed that the car is not actually moving. We are caught in a traffic jam. Traffic makes me sleepy so I tried to start a conversation.

Sid: Are you familiar with the story of War in Heaven Claire?

Claire: Cut the crap you faggot! War in Heaven is here on earth now!

Sherwin: Forget your dreams Naszech! The bringer of light is giving you everything to forget the Hope. Look at Claire; she is so beautiful and sexy. She’s so hot that every man wants to do it her.

Suddenly Claire is naked, trying to seduce me. She’s holding her breast and licking it. She moves closer and kissed me. I pushed her away and then the surrounding changed. All the vehicles around us are on fire. Everything is burning as if we are in hell. Then from the distance, I saw the dragon flying straight towards us. The dragon landed in front of the car and released its devastating breath of fire.

Sid: No! It won’t end here! (I yelled)

Claire: What? (Surprised) Are you okay Sid?

From the back sit Sherwin shook me off. He tapped my face to see if I already awake.

Sherwin: Are you okay cousin? I guess you fell asleep on this traffic.

My heartbeat is still a bit fast and my mind is still confused but I am already aware that I slept and started dreaming again.

Sid: Sorry Claire. I slept and had a bad dream. The bringer of light is hunting me in my dream that haunts me.

Claire: It is okay Sid! I guess you have seen the movie trailer that is now showing in the mall. I think it is “Heaven’s Warrior” and it’s about War in Heaven and the hope of mankind.

Sherwin: Drop it cousin. Now it’s getting into your system. He thinks he is one of the fallen angels Claire. (Laughing)

Claire: You are so cute Sid. That’s why I can’t get you off my mind. You always make me smile. Are you okay now?

Sid: Don’t say it again cousin or I will tell Claire your dirty secrets. (Laughing) Thank you Claire but I am fine.

Claire: Now I know what we can do. After eating why don’t we watch that movies. Maybe you’ll find yourself in there Sid. (Smiling)

Sid: Okay! That is a good plan. (Smiling)

Sherwin: That’s great!

I agree not only because I really want to see that movie about War in Heaven but that is also the best escape plan for me to ditch her off. A few minutes later, we are already out of the traffic and a few more minutes we are already eating inside the mall with Sherwin’s favorite pizza and mozzarella. After eating we end up inside a movie theater watching how the legions of angels fought with each other. It was a war between good and evil.

Chapter Seven

The Good and the Evil

The theater is the latest in the mall. It’s very clean and the sound system is really amazing. The seats are reclining so you can really enjoy the movie while relaxing your body. Claire seated between me and Sherwin. We bought some drinks and popcorn for snacks while watching. We arrived just in time. We have seated for only a few minutes when all the lights turned off.

Sherwin: Hey cousin, hold on your seat, you are about to fall. (Smiling)

Claire: Don’t mind the teaser Sid (Laughing) I know you will like it.

I just looked at her and nodded then focus on the opening scene. It started in a fight scene. An angel is rushing towards the war, looking for something. It was frightening and bloody but that angel fears no evil. He fought hard to enter the middle heaven.

“Enelra where are you?” the angel shouted.

A lovely voice answered to him and a beautiful angel appeared in front of him. She’s wounded and weak now.

“Here I am Naszech.” she answered.

“Come with me now, we must return to the gate of the third heaven.” Naszech said.

“Hold my hands Naszech, I can’t move my wings.” she uttered.

Naszech was about to grab Enelra’s hand when they heard the sound of the trumpets.

“You can’t save your legions; I will take them with me.” Lucifer shouted.

“Fear not my angels, I will not forsake you.” Michael shouted.

Suddenly the dragon released his breath of fire burning everyone on the second heaven. Then a bright light appears that almost blinded everyone. That’s the time I realized that I am falling, wings are burning and descending too fast. I am holding Enelra’s hand but she is unconscious.

“Don’t lose her Naszech, she is our salvation.” Gabriel said.

Then I felt someone waking me up and when I opened my eyes I saw the policeman who assisted me the night they locked me up in their cell.

“Hey wake up now, it’s time for you to go.” the policeman said.

“Huh! Where am I?” I asked still confused.

“I guess you really need to see a doctor now. It seems that you are always lost. You are still here in jail but since there are no cases found against you, you are free to go but we will still assist you with medical attention.” the policeman explained.

“Thank you but I really don’t know where to go.” I answered.

“For the meantime you can stay in the church near here. I am sure they can help you find out something about yourself in no time.” the policeman said.

“I guess that is the only thing I can do right now.” I replied.

“Let us go then, I will take you to the church and will introduce you to Father Gabriel.”

We went out of the police station and go straight to their mobile car. In a matter of minutes only we are already in front of the church. I know that this is a dream within my dream. I really don’t have any idea why I am here or why I am dreaming this place. I hope Father Gabriel can enlighten me. The police car stopped in front of the church. We went out of the car and the policeman introduced me to the person waiting outside.

“Father Gabriel, this is the person I have told you. I hope you can help him remember everything.” the policeman said.

“You can call me Naszech for the meantime.” I quickly uttered.

I used that name to find out if there will be any reaction to Father Gabriel.

“Hi Naszech, I’ve been waiting for you. Let’s go inside and I will let you meet someone. She’s just like you. They found her naked walking around last January. She can’t remember anything too.” Gabriel explained.

The words Father Gabriel mentioned made me excited. I think I know now the reason why I keep on dreaming about this realm.

We are about to enter the church when suddenly the ground started shaking. The church collapsed then the ground follows splitting it in two. Molten rocks and magma burst outside and fire from hell covered the whole place. Before I managed to react, I saw the dragon, one leg stepping on Father’s Gabriel body, crushing it.

“You can’t meet her. You must not find her. I won’t allow it! Your soul, all your soul is mine.” Lucifer said.

“You don’t have dominions over me.” I shouted.

“Then die you ignorant fool.” Lucifer shouted.

The fire and the flame that covers my body, burning it to ashes is so hot, very hot but I felt a cold hand slightly slapping my face, waking me up. I still don’t want to leave this realm but I guess this dream is a nightmare now. I must wake up and start over again but next time, I will be in the church.

Claire: Wake up Sid! Wake up! You fell asleep again and it seems that you are having a nightmare.

Sid: Sorry Claire. Is it over now?

She laughs and Sherwin laughs too when he heard my question.

Sherwin: Over? You mean “The End”?

Sid: Yes! (Smiling)

Claire: It is just about to start and I think you fell asleep for a few minutes only. (Laughing)

I was surprised to hear that because I thought I am already watching the movie but not. But still, it seems that I spent so many hours in my dream world. These dreams are starting to get into my nerves and make me look like crazy but it is okay. Now I know where I can find her and now I know that I am not a bad angel but one of the good ones. I will do everything to find her and fulfill our destiny. The devil can’t stop me not even the light bringer. I will find her.

Chapter Eight

Enelra’s Mission

Lucifer tempted the angels and misled them by accusing the mighty creator of things that are not real. Before the war ends, Enelra’s mission is to enlighten them and to give them hope that they can still return to the right path. Naszech is her guardian. His mission is to protect her no matter what. When Lucifer learned about their mission, he wanted to destroy them and take away the hope they are giving to the angels who wants to return in God’s legion. Lucifer wants to break them apart and wants to show the angel that in time of pain and suffering, Enelra and Naszech will also turn against God. But Lucifer is wrong, the faith of the two is stronger than he expected. He tried to seduce them to human urges and earthly temptations but the love between the two angels is something divine. It is not just a love that is commonly felt by people falling in love to each other. There is no lust or temptation. It is just pure understanding and care to one another. It’s so pure that made the light bringer hate them the most. Their faith and love inspired more angels to return to God Almighty, weakening his offensives so before the battle ended, Lucifer opened up the sky, burned all the angels fighting in the second heaven, letting them all fall down to earth. On earth he will have his dominions for at least 300 years. Enough time to break all faith and to gather more souls that will follow him in his last planned battle against God.

“Our mission is to keep the hope in everyone’s heart, to keep the faith and to keep in believing. You need to prove that your love is not Earthly and protect me from the light bringer. That is your mission; that is my mission; that is our mission.” a soft voice whispered in my ears.

“Huh! (Awakened) Where am I? Who are you?” I asked surprised.

“I am Enelra, forgotten me Naszech?” she asked with a smile.

I looked at her and tried to remember things. Now I remember that angelic face, a beauty that I haven’t seen for quite a while.

“It’s you! I have been looking for you Enelra. All these years and keep on asking myself what is missing. I can feel that my life is still empty, always empty no matter what I do. But now, I guess you are what I have been missing.” I whispered.

“We need to hurry Naszech; the light bringer is fulfilling his dominion here on earth. You must find me and prove your love inside the immortal vessels where our soul is trapped.” she said.

“But you are here with me now.” I said but somehow confused.

“This is just the world Gabriel created for you. This is a realm he made for him to give you all the messages from God.” she explained.

“Where can I find you? I don’t have any idea how to find you. What do I need to do? I asked.

“Just open up your heart and don’t get blinded by temptations. You will know it’s me once you find me but if in doubt just close your eyes and you can feel me.” she answered.

“I will find you Enelra, I promise!” I replied.

“But you must hurry; my immortal body is sick and dying. I need you beside me. My body is too weak against the light bringer.” she uttered.

“Just hold on Enelra, I will protect you from Lucifer.” I whispered to her then embraced her.

“It’s time for you to wake up. Just remember the things in your dreams and you will know it’s me. You will find me.” she said.

I am still looking at her when I felt a familiar hand shaking me off from sleep. Guess I fell asleep again while watching the movies.

Sherwin: Way to go dream boy. The movie is almost over and you are just sleeping here. (Laughing)

Sid: Where is Claire?

Sherwin: She went to the rest room. Why?

Sid: Good! Then this is the best time for me to leave.

Sherwin: Why? You don’t want to watch and finish the movies?

Sid: I have seen something better. I need to go to the National Library to do some research. I will explain it to you later, okay?

Sherwin: What will I tell Claire?

Sid: Give her the best alibi you can make. I will see you at home. I need to go now.

Sid hurriedly left the theater and proceeded to the library. He now knows what is going on but he still needs to understand some events. Knowing that the light bringer wants to end Enelra’s life for them not to see each other and stop them from fulfilling their mission, Sid is now eager to find her as soon as possible.

Chapter Nine

Dropping the Mortal’s Life

Standing in front of chaos and misery, the world looks like hell in this reality. Naszech must hurry. He needs to find Enelra to give hope to humanity. He then looked up and spread his wings then flew to find his destiny.

Sid: Excuse me. Can you help me find what I am looking for?

Librarian: Yes. What can I do for you?

Sid: I am doing a research about angels and demons. Can you show me the section where I can find books that can give me information about it?

Librarian: I see. Just go straight this way (pointing to her right) and you will find a stair on the right side. Just go up there and you will find a room that is filled with what you are looking for.

Sid: Thank you so much.

Librarian: No worries. It’s my pleasure to help people who really love reading book. (Smiling)

Sid smiled back at her then proceeded to the direction she pointed but stopped when he heard the librarian calling him.

Librarian: (A bit confuse and startled) Excuse me mister!

Sid: Yes. Is there anything else you want to tell me?

Librarian: I don’t know if it is my age and my imagination that is playing tricks on me but I thought I saw you have wings. (Smiling)

Sid: (Laughing) I hope I do have wings but that is what I am telling my cousin, I am angel that falls from heaven.

Librarian: In that case you might need to check the journal written by someone who’s making research about “The War in Heaven” and if I can remember it right, he told me her mom named him Gabriel. Maybe he is a friend of yours from heaven. (She giggled)

Sid: That is funny but maybe he is a friend of mine. (Smiling) What journal is that?

Librarian: He wrote something about some angels here on Earth that waits for salvation. How they arrived and when did they arrived. I checked it once and I think there is a map in that book showing the location where angels have fallen.

Sid: Thank you so much. I think that will really help me a lot.

Librarian: No worries. (Smiling) By the way, the title of the book is “Earth Angels”.

Sid smiled at her and proceeded walking. Suddenly the book shelves became alive! Burning souls from the abyss of hell are trying to pull him from side to side. So determined to find Enelra, he pulled his sword and like his last battle in heaven, without fear, he enters the passageway and slashed all the hands that tried to stop him. Then, he saw a glowing a book that stands among thousands of books inside that realm. It looks so near but yet so far. It’s in the middle of a never ending darkness but the glow it emits brings light in that abyss. Naszech opened his wings, spread it out then flew towards the book to get it but instantly the darkness turned into a blazing hell. The dragon appeared and started to burn all the books.

“You can’t get the light and you will never find Enelra.” Lucifer said.

Naszech got stunned for a minute, he hesitated but he heard a voice from nowhere.

“Sid drop your mortal life, you are Naszech, a fearless angel, one of the bravest warrior of God. This is your realm. You made this world. Own it! Don’t fear the light bringer. Go straight and grab the book to find the answer and to find Enelra.” a voice that sounded like Gabriel said.

Sid is now awakened. He now remembered that he is Naszech. He is an immortal angel, a warrior for a good cause. He then drew his sword and flew straight towards the book.

“I am Naszech, an angel of God and I fear no light bringer like you Lucifer.” he shouted bravely.

“Then I will burn your human body together with your soul.” Lucifer angrily shouted.

“Again I am Naszech, a fearless warrior angel. You don’t have dominions or reigns in this realm of mine. I will stop you.” Naszech answered bravely.

“Then burn!!!” the dragon said.

He started releasing his fiery breath, burning everything it touches. It is a fire from hell, so hot that it quickly turned anything to ashes instantly. He is in that state of havoc that he didn’t realized that Naszech is already flying above him. Then the fearless angel quickly swings his sword hitting the dragon’s neck. It is so swift that the light bringer didn’t know that he is already decapitated. His head rolled down but still breaths fire. A few more seconds then it stopped, followed by the dragon’s body falling down.

Librarian: Hey! What happened here? Thank goodness you are okay.

Sid: I don’t know but when I reached the room, it’s already on fire. Good thing that there is a good working fire extinguisher near the stair.

Librarian: Thank you so much for helping and for putting that fire out. It burned so many precious books but you managed to save a lot more.

Sid: I am just doing what I can do. It is a good thing that I saved the journal you’ve mentioned. I got some burns and few scratches but I saved it. (Smiling)

Librarian: The emergency response team has already arrived. Have your cuts and burns check.

Sid: I will just read the book first and then I will go ahead.

Librarian: Let the firemen clear the area now just to make sure. You can take the book if you want and just return it anytime when you are done with your research.

Sid: Really?

Librarian: You saved my library and that’s not enough to thank you.

Sid: This is more than enough. Thank you so much.

Librarian: Thank you too. Now, have your wounds and burns attended. Go.

Sid walks slowly towards the ambulance. He now holds a book that will lead him to Enelra. Happy within, he now fears no death cause he already dropped his mortal life.

Chapter Ten

The Journal

The book is covered in binding leather with a solid and hard board. So nicely put together, you can say that the one who made it really wants to protect the book to make it lasting. It is a bit bigger compared to ordinary book. Not so thick and not heavy either. The books title is engraved on its cover and written in gold color using old English letters. Looks very old but if you will check the content, you will notice that it was recently updated. He was checking it when he noticed that the bus he is on is already in front of their house. He quickly asked the bus driver to stopped, he went down and run towards their house.

Sherwin: So the running away lover boy has arrived. (Smiling)

Sid: You will never believe the story that I will tell you but I found what I am looking for.

Sherwin: What happened to you? You have burns and cuts. Have you been in trouble?

Sid: Nope! But I have this book now. (Showing the book on hand)

Sherwin: Now you are stealing book? (Laughing)

Sid: No. The librarian let me take it home. It’s a bit weird how the fire started but I managed to stop it and save more books in the process.

Sherwin: All those cuts and burns for that book only? Common cousin, you are losing it. (Laughing out loud)

Sid: Don’t joke around cousin. Keep on believing and never lose your faith or the light bringer will take advantage of your soul.

Sherwin: You are really losing it now cousin. Trying to preach now? (Laughing)

Sid started to look serious. He looked Sherwin straight in his eyes.

Sid: I am not joking around cousin. I don’t want Lucifer to gain control over you. I am serious. Let’s go upstairs and I will tell you everything. I need to read this book now so that I can prepare myself. I need to find Enelra as soon as possible.

Sherwin: Are you serious? Do you need medical attention? (Now confuse)

Sid: I don’t need medical nor psychological attention cousin. Trust me. Now let’s go upstairs and read the book.

Still in doubt and confuse, Sherwin went upstairs with Sid. They sit down on the bed and opened the book.

“From the beginning of time, Lucifer the light bringer envies the God almighty. He wanted to bring him down and sit on his throne. He started accusing him of failures and weaknesses. He poisoned the heart and the mind of so many angels. During that time, Naszech and Enelra are angels that are so close to each other. They love serving God together. They are one of his trusted and faithful angels. God have seen their love for each other and he didn’t forbid them nor stop them from loving each other that way. It is a divine love that they developed, a love that is pure, a love that asked nothing in return or exchange but pure care and understanding only. The other angel envies the two and Lucifer used it to let them renegade against God. Angels that fell in love with men are banished from heaven so Lucifer accused God of being unfair. Twisting the story, comparing divine love and Earthly lust and making it the same confused the other angels. When the battle started and all the angels on the second heaven falls down to Earth, Lucifer tried his everything to make sure that both Naszech and Enelra will be a part of all the fallen angels. Seeing the angels that are still pure and loyal to him trapped in the light bringer’s dominion, God asked Rafael to finish Lucifer’s reign on Earth but in that action he accused him once more of being unequal. Lucifer told God that the love between the two is nothing special or divine. Why banished the other angel and save Enelra and Naszech? God told Lucifer that I will give you time to reign over Earth and all my loyal angels that you trapped but when your time is up, I will trapped you in the pit of hell and will lock you there for the rest of eternity. When that time come, I will assure you that the angels you brought down with you will still be save by their divine love. God told Lucifer to do whatever he wants but no matter what you do; you can never break down the divine love that is the foundation of heaven and earth. Those are the last words from God and after that, the angels, like meteors entered the Earth and became men and women. Lastly, the light bringer followed. I will find all your angels and I will make them suffer. From their suffering they will hate you and they will curse you. I assure you that. After that total darkness followed, then the heavens door closed down and there is silence.”

Sherwin: Hmmm! That sounds interesting. It’s something new I never heard of.

Sid: Now you find it interesting ha? (Smiling)

Sherwin: But it still doesn’t mean that you are an angel. (Laughing)

Sid: Sshhhhh! Let’s continue reading now. I need to check the book if there are any details in the where about of angels.

Sherwin: You are really funny but go on, the book is very interesting. (Laughing)

Sid is checking the pages when he saw a note from Gabriel who made the journal.

“As the messenger of God trapped here on Earth, I dedicated myself in studies and research to gather up all the information to bring all the angels of God together and give them hope and salvation. Together with Enelra and Naszech, we entered the atmosphere almost on the same time. I opened my wings to stop from falling so I reached Earth the last. Enelra landed first then Naszech followed. I noticed that only few angels fell in that land mass surrounded by water and only the three of us fell in the center of that land mass. The others hit the huge land mass. Enelra landed south west from where Naszech landed. Time is very different on Earth. The split seconds that separated us are already months in human time. I have verified that half a second is a seven months difference. I found Naszech in the realms I made and he landed on the fourth of July. Enelra landed earlier and have given Naszech the details about it. Hope he can figure it out.”

Sid: Now I remember! The realm he mentioned is the dream I had the other day. He mentioned the thirteenth day of the first month of the year.

Sherwin: What do you mean? Are you telling me that you truly believe that you are an angel?

Sid didn’t answer his cousin but just continued on checking the book. There are so many stories and details written in it but none of it says where he can find Enelra or what he needs to do. He checked the last page of the journal and found the last message from Gabriel that was the latest entry and was just recently updated.

“To all the angels of God who are still faithful and still waiting, the time is near. Just live the life you are living right now, keep the faith and everything will be alright. Salvation is near and our hope will not break in two. Soon you will hear the trumpets from heaven and the heaven’s door will open again to welcome us. God told me not to look anymore for destiny is already written and the foundation of heaven will not break in two. Time will carry you to the right place for you to fulfill your destiny.”

Sherwin: I guess Gabriel quitted on you. (Laughing)

Sid: He did not but how about Enelra. She told me she’s sick. The light bringer will try to break her down. (Worried)

Sherwin: It’s very clear cousin, Gabriel said that God told him that the foundation of heaven will not break in two and you don’t need to search far and wide, time will take you where you can fulfill your destiny.

Sid: But I must find Enelra.

Sherwin: You are really persistent cousin.

Sid clearly understands what Gabriel said in the journal but it seems that he is not satisfied until he finds Enelra. He stood up and walks away silently. Sherwin felt sad when he saw that his cousin is lonely and planned to tease and try to make him smile but was stunned when he saw his cousin’s shadow. He closed his eyes and shook his head then looked again. There is no angel’s wing now in the shadow but he is pretty sure he saw something earlier.

Chapter Eleven

Time and Destiny

In the journal, Gabriel clearly said that Naszech must not pursue his search anymore because time will lead him to Enelra and though she is in vain, she can’t be broken. It is their destiny to prove that the foundation of heaven, which is divine love, will not break in two. Enelra’s faith and his faith are so strong because its strength is bonded with their love for each other. Sid still wants to find Enelra but knowing that only time will allow it makes him desperate. He started to change and became unhappy that withers his soul within. His mortal life is controlling his faith again. Then something reminded him and it changed everything and made him strong again.

“Wake up Naszech; I want to tell you something.” Enelra whispered in his ear.

An angelic face with a sweet voice woke up and stunned Naszech for the moment. It is Enelra that woke him up.

“Huh! Enelra! Where are we?” I asked.

“We are here in the church of Father Gabriel. Gabriel made this realm so that I can speak to you.” she said.

“How are you doing? You told me you are sick. Are you okay?” I asked worriedly.

“Don’t think about it, the light bringer won’t end my mortal life, not until he managed to break me and make me lose my faith.” she said.

“But I want to be with you. I will find your mortal body.” I uttered.

“No matter how hard you try, if time won’t allow it, it won’t be possible. I am just here to tell you to stop worrying. Just prepare yourself for the right time. Live your life as a normal being and be happy again. We will see each other and we will be together again on the right time.” she explained.

“But how will I find you?” I asked.

“Don’t look for me and you will find me. You don’t need to see but you will know it through your heart.” she whispered.

“But…” Don’t say a word anymore, she quickly stopped me. “This realm is about to cease so just remember what I have told you.” She just looked at me and smiled at me then slowly she starts to fade.

Sherwin: Wake up cousin! You are dreaming again and it seems you want to kiss me. (Smiling)

Sid: Finally, I managed to speak to her.

Sherwin: So after so many months now you are dreaming of that angel thing again, huh?

Sid: It may sound crazy but I am sure, somehow I am an angel of God, believe it or not.

Sherwin: Don’t worry, I believe you. (Smiling)

Sid: So you have seen my wings! (Jokingly smiling)

Sherwin: I guess I did. (Laughing)

They both laugh and then suddenly stopped.

Sherwin: So what are our plans today? Do we have a date or we will go for a girl hunt in the mall?

Sid: Angels don’t break people’s heart. (Laughing)

Sherwin: So what are we going to do now?

Sid: Better find and job and live our life to the fullest.

Sherwin: Sounds good so what kind of job are we going to look for?

Sid: Anything that we can handle. I just want to work to keep me busy and forget Enelra for the meantime.

Sherwin: What!? After all those crazy stuffs you are trying to forget Enelra now?

Sid: I said for the meantime. (Smiling)

Sherwin: Why? I thought she is sick and you want to find her and protect her from the light bringer.

Sid: She is the one who visited me in my dream today and she told me things that I should do.

Sherwin: And she told you that you must find a job? (Laughing)

Sid: She did not ask me to find a job but I just want to do it to keep myself busy.

Sherwin: Then let’s start finding a good job. I know someone here is planning to have a family now with someone. (Laughing)

Sid threw a pillow to Sherwin and then went downstairs. From that day on, Sid kept himself busy working. He worked different kind of jobs like a service crew in a food chain, oven man in a pizza restaurant. He got involved in different kind of sales like car sales and even with insurance and credit cards. He wants to try everything that will keep him busy but happy in the process. Time quickly passed by and Sid have gathered so many friends already and Sherwin is no longer with him. This time he is already working in a call center.

Yosh: Hey, dude! Have you heard that our campaign has been dissolved?

Sid: Really? Not again but there is nothing we can do about it except to find a new one.

Yosh: What else? I heard that there is a company that is already forty years in the industry. They are looking for tenured agents like you. (Laughing)

Sid: I am tenured but not old you dummy. (Laughing)

Yosh: Just trying to tease you brother but if you are interested I can give you the details.

Sid: Yeah! Shoot me an email and I will check on it tonight. Let me know if you are also going to try it so that we can go there together.

Yosh: I will send the details to your email but I can’t go with you brother. I am going to Davao tomorrow and probably will stay there for good.

Sid: Oh! I am sad to hear that, I will miss you but just keep in touch okay?

Yosh: Sure dude! I will shoot you an email tonight okay?

Sid: Cool! I need to go now; I really hate it when I am trapped in a traffic jam. Take care!

Sid traveled back home unaware that the time to fulfill his destiny is getting near. He managed to keep himself busy and have managed not to think about Enelra. It seems that he has already forgotten all about it.

Chapter Twelve

Fighting the Demons

Sid prepared everything, dressed up and started moving. He is on his way to his job interview and he is a bit excited though still it is his normal attitude towards a job hunt. He arrived in the place just in time, got interviewed by the owner of the company and got hired again. He was asked to report immediately and to start working as soon as possible. He was excited on his first day for some reason he is not aware. He thought maybe he is excited because after so many years he will start calling again as an agent and the campaign is almost the same with the last one he handled eight years ago. He arrived one hour early before the time he was told. He went straight on the station and tried to check all he is going to need. A few minutes more and everyone were already in the office. Sid was introduced to the group of less than ten agents then he was trained for a couple of hours then started working. He was very busy learning the process but for some reason he kept on looking to one of his colleagues. He is wondering why she seems familiar though he had not seen her before.

Karen: Hi! How are you doing there?

Sid: Just trying to get the hang of it.

Karen: Cool! Just let us know it we you have questions or anything we can help you with.

Sid: Thanks and I will if I won’t be able to figure things out. (Smiling)

Karen: By the way, in case you are not able to remember our name during the introduction, again my name is Karen and this Michelle and Mark. The other girl at the end of this row is Reina and that one near you is Joey. The one behind you is Rex, Grace and Ann.

Sid: Hi guys! How are you doing?

Rex: We are cool here dude! Hope we can work it out.

Ann: How are you Sid? Is everything cool?

Sid: Yes, Ann! I guess everything is cool right now.

Reina: Hi Sid!

Sid: Hi Reina! Reina is your name right? I hope I can remember all names instantly. (Smiling)

Reina: Yes, you got it right! (Smiling)

Sid is now somehow confused. He keeps on looking at Reina thinking if they have met somewhere else or if they somehow worked together already in a call center. Time passed by and he wasn’t able to figure out anything that connects with Reina. He got tired and took a nap during their break.

“Naszech! Have you forgotten me?” she whispered.

The voice really sounds familiar. I raised my head and look behind me. It is a very lovely angelic face that is smiling towards me but somehow she is lonely.

“It is you! How are you? I have been waiting for you. How will I forget about you? I told her.

“My mortal body is not aware about us. I am just trapped inside and my body doesn’t have a memory of you but it is time to be with me and to stay with me Naszech. Wake me up and make my body aware.” she said.

Then somebody behind me tapped my back several times waking me up.

Mark: Wake up Sid! Lunch break is over; we need to start working again.

Sid: Thanks Mark!

Sid started working again but he can’t get Enelra off his mind. Now he is aware that it is time to find her but he doesn’t know how. A few hours more and the shift were over. They all went out and on their way out they are talking to each other. Later on Sid found out that Reina lives on the direction where he stays. They traveled together and keeps on talking to each other telling stories and discussing lots of things on their way. It goes on like that for a month or two and for some reason Sid developed a strong attachment with Reina. He always wanted to see her and to be with her. One day while Sid and Reina are travelling back home on a bus.

“Naszech! You need to find me now! The light bringer is tearing my body apart.” she shouted.

Then Lucifer appeared from nowhere. This time he is not in the form of a dragon but in a demon’s form with a spear.

“Your soul is mine Enelra and I will take your soul too Naszech.” Lucifer shouted.

“I will find you and I will save you Enelra.” I shouted back to her.

But before I even managed to do anything, Lucifer threw the spear hitting Enelra on her left side. I quickly opened my wings, spread it out then drew my sword.

“You don’t need to fight this battle now Naszech. Don’t let him tear down my mortal body and break my human spirit.” she yelled back.

I felt someone’s hand is shaking me, waking me up.

Reina: Wake up Sid! You are dreaming.

Her smile looks so sweet but there is something in her mind hidden that her eyes can’t hide.

Sid: Sorry! Guess I am really tired and fell asleep.

Reina: It is okay but I woke you up just to tell you that I will stop working now. I am sick and I really need to rest to get cured.

Sid is now confused. He doesn’t know what to do. In his dream Enelra is dying but in his reality, someone is also sick and that someone is somebody that he felt very important to him.

Reina: Hey! Next stop is where you get off the bus. Kindly give this document to the management and tell them my case.

Sid: I will but are you okay?

Reina: Yes I am! Don’t worry about me, I am brave and I can handle this.

Sid is really touched and really sad that Reina is facing something that is going to be very hard for her. He is sad because it is something that he can’t do anything about. He holds her hand and asked her to go with him straight to the church and pray for her health. Reina went with him and together they prayed for her wellness. Sid can’t hide it now but though it is so fast and too impossible to be certain of one’s feeling, he is sure that he is in love with her. It is not pity or any kind of human attraction but it is something wonderful that he can’t explain. They stayed together for a few hours more until it is time to go on their way home.

Reina: Thank you! I appreciate what you are doing.

Sid: No need to thank me! I love what I am doing.

Sid embraced Reina tightly and kissed her on her forehead and then they walked in a separate ways.

Chapter Thirteen

Divinity And Beyond

Next day, in the management room, Sid informed the HR manager about Reina’s situation. So worried about Reina, he can’t figure out how to find Enelra. The HR manager gave Sid the papers that Reina need to file and process. Upon checking Sid found out something that enlightens him. It is something that made him realized again that everything that happened to him is not simply a dream but a reality beyond other realms that are colliding with each other. He quickly dialed Reina’s number and asked her for a meet up. Few minutes more and they are with each other. Sid smiled at her and embraced her so tight.

Reina: What is the rush? Are you okay? You don’t need to worry so much about me, I will be okay.

Sid: I know! If you can’t remember anything let me remind your mortal body who you are.

Reina: What do you mean? Are you losing your mind? I don’t know what you are talking about.

Sid: Just close your eyes Reina and hold me tight. You are Enelra and I will free your body from sickness.

They both closed their eyes and embraced each other trying to feel what is inside that is hidden in their body, in their heart and in their mind. Then their soul shadows appeared and it’s a shadow of two angels hugging each other. Suddenly the surrounding changed in a blink of an eye. Everything turned red and burning. The surrounding became hell on Earth again. Then the dragon appears in front of them.

“You may be together now but still I will break down your body and I will make you suffer from pain, sickness and hunger.” the dragon shouted.

“I am Enelra and I am the hope of mankind. If you can’t break my mortal spirit on Earth then your dominion here is gone.” Reina shouted.

“Then I will take your mortal body in hell and let your mortal spirit suffer.” Lucifer said.

“I am Naszech and I am Enelra’s protector! Now and forever, you can no longer bring harm on her.” Sid shouted.

“You might be a warrior Naszech but this is hell and I can make your mortal body die and let your soul suffer. I can do the same on you Enelra.” Lucifer angrily shouted.

“I am Enelra and I am Reina! Together Enelra and Reina is only one.” Reina shouted again.

“Then let’s see if you can stay strong in hell.” Lucifer said.

He pointed on the ground where Sid and Reina are standing and the ground started to split in two.

Sid: Just keep your eyes close and stay strong; you are Enelra, you are the angel of hope so don’t be afraid and fear nothing Reina! God is with us!

Reina: I will Naszech! I will stay strong!

“I will help you get rid of your sickness Reina, just keep the faith and keep on believing on him. I love you.” Sid whispered to Reina and held her tightly.

Naszech spread out his wings and drew his sword again to defend Enelra and her human form Reina.

“Thou are mine and I am for thee and together with God we will be happy and free. That is for the rest of eternity." Sid bravely uttered before he took a leap to strike the dragon.

“Do you really think you can kill me? You might have decapitated me once but that is only because that realm is not mine. You are in this realm I own that I call hell and I will trap you all in this abyss forever.” the dragon said angrily then he started spitting fire everywhere then he shifted shape and became the demon called Lucifer.

Armed with a burning sword and spear Lucifer swiftly attacked towards Sid and Reina. His intention is to kill Reina first and let Sid live in pain for the rest of his life. He thinks losing Reina will break him down and tear him to pieces. That way he will lose his faith and will rebel against God for not protecting her. He stretch his hand and pulled back the spear, aimed for Reina’s heart then threw it straight to her with all his strength. Sid felt death coming. He pulled Reina behind him trying to block the spear but Lucifer threw it with all his strength. The spear went straight to Sid’s body, piercing his heart and exited at his back. The force on the spear is so strong that it also penetrated Reina body piercing her heart too on the same time. It took Sid’s life and Reina’s life instantly but before she died she whispered; “I am Enelra and thank you for reminding me Sid. You are my angel, my protector and I love you.” Before Sid’s last breath he also whispered; “I love you Enelra”.

The two mortal bodies died that moment instantly but from that mortal body a glowing spirit of two angels appeared.

“Now my spirit, heart, soul and mind are one, we will end you dominion now on Earth and we will help in locking you up in the pit of hell where you belong.” Enelra said.

“With her I feel stronger! Together we will end your reign on this moment.” Naszech uttered.

“Enough of this sense less conversation. One or two, I will both eat you alive and I will throw your souls in the pit of hell.” Lucifer said.

“Now I will burn you…” Lucifer suddenly stopped talking.

Naszech and Enelra looked behind them and they were surprised to see thousands of angels are standing behind them. All holding a spears and swords and before Lucifer can do anything they all threw their spears towards the light bringer then they all flew towards him to strike him with their swords. Wounded Lucifer still managed to protect himself and blocked all the attacks and spitted fire on them burning the angels that keeps on attacking.

“I don’t care if you all fight against me! All of you are no match on me. I will trap you all in the pit of hell. Remember, I am the light bringer and I am mightier on your so called God.”

Before Lucifer managed to say another word, the sky became so clear and bright. Then heaven started to open up and a very bright blinding light is cast upon the light bringer burning him instantly.

“Seeing my angels are back together again and seeing Enelra and Naszech faith on me is really strong, it proves only one thing, the foundation of heaven, which is divine love is something you can’t destroy and you won’t have any power over it. Let this Earth be covered with this kind of love. As promised, once proven, I will end your dominion here and will trap you in the pit of hell for the rest of eternity.” God said.

Then the light cast on Lucifer became brighter and bigger then in a blink of an eye it disappeared. Everything is gone now. There is no dragon or angels around. Everything is back to the realms of human reality. All is quiet now and no one is around except for the two who are still standing and embracing each other tightly. Slowly they both opened their eyes and smiled to each other.

Reina: Is it over? Did it really happen?

Sid: I guess so, I am not sure but you have seen it too right?

Reina just smiled and kiss him tenderly.

“Let’s go home now! I still need to take good care of you and help you fight if there is any sickness left. If there is still any, please let me stay with you for the rest of your life and we will fight it together.” Sid whispered to her.

Reina just smiled back to him and they hold each other hands and started walking. The angels are now free and back to heaven. Naszech is with Enelra now looking over the two mortal souls that shared the divine love with them.

Fallen from Heaven
